Brake dust includes all kinds of dirt and nasty stuffs. It you run it off quite long, the blend of moisture, heat and road grime from your brakes will harden it on your wheels. It clings normally to your car’s wheels with the static current, so cold clean water and a damp sponge is the best way to get it off.

Check your tire pressures frequently. Twice a week is perfect. Bad tire pressures likely affect handling, fuel economy and comfort. It is easy to do and there’s no reason not to.

  • Checking the Tread Depth

Slick, bald tires may be excellent for motor racing, but they are no good when it comes to the road. Most tires come with these bars tread wear built into them now.
