Yamaha: Deal Us In Rumors surfaced earlier today that Yamaha may now be considering pulling out of the US Superbike series for 2009, but a call to Cypress nipped that rumor in the bud. "We're going racing," Yamaha US Communications Manager Bob Starr said late today. "The bikes are almost complete and the guys will be working on finishing them throughout the Thanksgiving holiday. Then the truck will leave for Daytona." "I walked through the race shop and watched them button up one of the new American Superbike-spec R1s in all black bodywork and it just looked bitchin', Starr said."The new R1 is going to sound awesome on the banking at Daytona."
